Vista is here!
Wow! Those guys at MS have been busy! I’ve been tinkering with Vista, and so far its looking good! apart from a few mishaps (AntiVirus not working etc.) its great!
My only [current] qualm: what’s with all the authorization stuff! Yes I bloody clicked it!
More tomorrow, I’m tired now… Just finished installing at 23:40 GMT
Windows Live Writer
I’m using it right now, to write this: Windows Live Writer. Its a blogging app for your desktop that’s too simple to set up and install.
Its a small package, and its fast and easy to use.. makes blogging a breeze 
Also, I received my Windows Vista OEM disk today.. might install it later But first I will see if some of my more important applications will run on it.
Popfly Trash Mashup
Sortof a trash app – its my first (well, 1st successful attemp 
) at making a Popfly Mashup. So, download it as a gadget or whatever, to search Flickr from your desktop

Popfly and IRC
Got my Popfly invite today… WOW! It’s too good for words. I’ve been waiting for the invite for about a week now, and when I checked my email this morning I was well chuffed to see it sitting there. So, I’ll probably be playing with this all day… on my new leather pc chair thing. Sooooo comfy
Also, I got my op on IRC – well within my month. Now I’m planning on getting 81 fishing/cooking then continuing with my quest for 99 fletching/woodcutting.
Tablet
Wow! And I mean, WOW! Just got a new tablet the other day – WOW again. ITs amazing the power behind the lil things, they’re so much easier (and cooler) to use than a mouse Wish I’d bought one sooner. Plus I cant wait for my big exec leather chair to arrive… whoo!
So, all I had to do was plug it in – first awesome thing
And I got some software – EverNote – too good – some awesome note-taking software, and since I’m being adventurous, I even downloaded a calendar, something I’d managed without before but am finding very advantageous now. Rainlendar is extremely useful – and even the system tray icon looks amazingly sleek. Download it now!!!

Microsoft Popfly
Its here! Popfly is the revolutionary new web based “application” that allows you to create web pages, mashups (a page that combines info) and allows you to create complex XML and JavaScript widgets/gadgets with no need to program. You can still edit the code and add your own changes – but its still so simple to simple drag a block and an action block and attach them – WOW!!
I’m going to post some of mine (I’m waiting for my invite) here when I’m done – they’ll be available as widgets and as online links to things here – I’ll make some microsoft news widgets and perhaps a gaming/tech news page.
Also, soon I plan to get my own website – properly hosted etc – lloydhumphreys.com perhaps With full downloads, news, blog etc. I’ll try to embed my blog in it – I’m sure its possible – and then I’ll be able to fully integrate to the web.
Stereophonics
I went to see Stereophonics the other day – a truly amazing show. I’m definately going to have to spend more time going to gigs! Dad got me/bro/mum tickets, and we went last night. It was a fun night, although it started rather badly – we ended up standing in the rain for half an hour because security wouldn’t let anyone in. But it didnt matter – after a while we were in and we were watching the support band rock up the stage – after 30 mins of those, we got a short break followed by the full sha-bang! They opened with Barman, and finished off with my all time favorite song – Dakota!
Truly awesome night I think I’ll have to start going more often with my friends.
Joost and Yom’d 3D
Well, I finally got in on the Joost Beta (online TV!!) if you want an invite email me – if i get any 
Also, found this great app: Yom’d 3D. 4 Virtual desktops in cube form… one of the best apps. SO much easier than having loads of windows minimised etc.
