Have to say for those of you who state you don’t cut you are few and far between I worked at a HUB or EMO kids. I’m talkin like 100 to 200 and almost everyone of them cut themselves… although i have to say so did about 80% of everyone else that came into that place.
It may be stereotypical(and I’m not sayign I’m a great speller) but look at what’s out there.. Tickle-me-Emo and all the EMO kid jokes. It’s there. Just like saying that all Irish people are drunks and all Chinese peopel are really smart!(not standing by these sayings) It’s part of society and calssifying yourself as an ‘EMO Kid’ is taking on all those stereotypes. Doesn’t matter what type of person you are if you are associated with a group or clique or something along those lines you are forced to deal with the negative aspects of that which you have taken on.
Stereotypes are everyehwere. Nationality, Religion, School, Politics, jsut to name a few. To become upset about other peoples opinions is to put yourself out there for ridicule. If soemthign is upsetting, leave, don’t look, don’t read….. It is better to be silent and deemed an idiot then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
